Sacred Spirits
March 2024

Sacred Spirits was founded in 2008 when Londoner and distiller Ian Hart decided to change the game, with the onus on quality.

Instead of using traditional pot distillation, Ian opted for vacuum distillation as a way to preserve the richness of flavour and aromas of his hand-picked botanicals. The Sacred Spirits distilleries are truly unique, designed by Ian to his exact specification. The setup, complete with bespoke handblown glassware from York, gives him complete control over a small volume/high quality production process, enabling him to adapt the delicate apparatus to suit every distillation.

Following a repositioning and rebrand, D8 designed a new bottle complete with coils to reflect Ian’s unique making process. Referring to what Ian and Sacred do as ‘innovative’ doesn’t quite capture the depth of their knowledge, passion and creativity, which was summed up in the new brand mantra: Innovation is everyday, invention is Sacred.

Secret 7” 2024
March 2024

Sleeve #115 / 700

My submission for The Chemical Brothers track, Skipping Like A Stone (Featuring Beck), was featured in the Secret 7" 2024 exhibition at NOW Gallery, London.

The vinyl was pressed by The Vinyl Factory in the Secret 7” 2024 brand colours and features a B-side etching designed by Anthony Burrill.

The concept of Secret 7” is simple: 7 iconic tracks are pressed onto 7” vinyl, with each limited to just 100 unique copies.

Creatives from around the world are invited to interpret the tracks in their own style for every 7”.

All money raised will support War Child’s work in conflict zones around the world.
